Welcome to our little corner of the world!

We’re not just homesteaders, we're a family that is passionate about faith, health,

freedom and simple yet intentional living!

Organic, natural, crunchy and homegrown - that's what we want to produce. Nothing new, nothing fancy, just good quality food...the way it was designed to be in the beginning.

 

Rooted in God’s love and guided by His Word, we’ve chosen a lifestyle that brings us closer to His creation each day. Our homestead may be small- just ¼ of an acre, but it’s full of life, purpose, and prayer.

 

We’re currently renting an old house just down the road while we work towards owner-building our own home on site. We have limited construction knowledge but what we do have is a passion to be debt free, a vision for our lifestyle and a belief that with Gods help we can build this Homestead Dream for our family...regardless how long it takes!

 

A roof over our heads is top priority....but once the house is finished the real project begins. Building a small, yet abundant garden that fills our pantry year round.  From growing fruit, raising chickens or feeding the worm farm.... we believe that real nourishment comes from the earth God gave us. Every carrot we pull and egg we gather is a reminder of His provision, faithfulness and of course... His good design for healthy food.

 

While we may not have wide open fields or large barns, we’ve learnt a lot can be achieved on a small property. It's our intention to make the most of what we are blessed to have and cultivate to its (and our) full potential!

 

Whether we’re planting, preserving, homeschooling, or building our soon to be home, our desire is to glorify God in all we do. This homestead is our ministry, our classroom, and our sanctuary. We hope to encourage and inspire others to pursue a simpler, healthier, faith-filled life, one step, seed, and prayer at a time.

Our name, Homestead on the Rock, comes from Matthew 7:24. We believe regardless of your occupation, location or how many chickens you have, we are all called to practice

keeping the teachings of Jesus, resulting in a life built on a good foundation (aka THE ROCK).
