🌿 Is Stevia Really Natural? Many people see "stevia" on a label and imagine crushed stevia leaves. But if you flip the packet over, you'll often find "steviol glycosides" instead. Steviol glycosides are sweet compounds extracted and purified from the stevia plant. While they originate from a plant, they're very different from simply drying and consuming the whole leaf. For our family, we try to choose foods that are as close as possible to how God created them. That's why we generally prefer whole-food sweeteners over highly processed extracts and isolates. The interesting thing is that your taste buds can change. When you reduce your intake of ultra-sweet foods and drinks, many people find that fruit starts tasting sweeter, and foods that once seemed bland become enjoyable again. You don't have to change everything overnight. Just start paying attention to the ingredients and asking one simple question: 👉 Is this close to the original food, or has it been heavily modified? 🤔 What actually counts as food? Before supermarkets, nutrition labels and health claims existed, God had already given mankind food. "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed... and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." — Genesis 1:29 Fruit yielding seed. Herbs bearing seed. Foods that came from God's creation. When I walk through the supermarket, I often ask myself a simple question: "Would Adam and Eve recognise this as food?" If the answer is no, maybe it's worth taking a closer look. This isn't about perfection. It's not about fear. It's simply about returning to foods that are as close as possible to the way God created them. Meat. Eggs. Fruit. Vegetables. Raw dairy. Honey. Real food doesn't need a health claim. It doesn't need a cartoon character on the packet. It doesn't need a scientist to convince you it's healthy. God already made food.
